BackSpring Fair, March 12 2010
There is great excitement among the children at the Buchan School as one of their favourite events of the year approaches! March 12th will see the annual Buchan Spring Fair. This year it will start at 3:40 pm after the end of the school day, and finish around 5:30pm.
There are many old favourites that the children love, such as the sideshow games and the Lucky Dip, and there will undoubtedly be a lot of interest in the stalls selling books and DVDs and the one selling sweets! The famous Buchan Cake Stall will be there; an opportunity to buy a delicious cake to eat with coffee at the fair, and some to take home too! The ever popular Tattoo Parlour will also be in operation, being run this year by the artistic mums of Form 3 children, temporary tattoos only! There are competitions to enter and a ‘Making and Doing’ stall for the children who are feeling creative. The ever popular Easter Egg decorating Competition is already in full swing with teachers already having received many entries.
The fair is being organised by the mums of the Form 1 students with help from all of the other year groups. All of the proceeds will go to ‘Friends At Buchan’ towards the new minibus which will be purchased for the Buchan school, and which will directly benefit every child.
