School Shop

The school shop is located at King William’s College.  Please park in the main KWC car park.  The door to the shop is adjacent to the main Bursary entrance.

The shop accepts all major credit and debit cards and can arrange to deliver items to The Buchan School if it is difficult to come to the shop in person.  During term time, parents can purchase items from the shop and charge them to their child’s school bill.  This will be invoiced at the end of term with the main school bill.

The Second Hand Clothing Shop is managed by Friends At Buchan (FAB) and is open during term times only.  Please sign in at the school office before visiting.

Naming Clothing

All items must be clearly named.  Woven name tapes which are sewn on tend to last better.  We also recommend that all shoes be clearly named (you can use self adhesive shoe labels or a permanent marker).  The School Shop can order name tapes for you, which usually take 1 week to 10 days to arrive.  Please be aware, however, that this can take up to 3 to 4 weeks closer to the beginning of the new school year in September.

PE and games kit should be named inside and outside.  Shorts and trousers should be labelled on the left hand pocket/ leg, and polo shirts and tops on the left hand breast.

Pierced Ears

Only plain gold or silver studs/sleepers may be worn in pierced ears.

Hair

'Short' hair should be cut above collar length and kept neat and tidy.  Girls' hair that falls below shoulder length must be tied back using Buchan scrunchies or black hair bands in winter, and white or white/blue hair bands in summer.

The Buchan School Blazer

All Prep children must have a blazer to wear for formal occasions such as concerts, chapel services, visits and special occasions.  The blazer can be worn every day by Prep children as preferred, however you will be advised when children will be expected to wear their blazer via The Buchan newsletters.
